Listen to episode 122:
"It's never too late to look after your health and eat less sugar": Wendy

May 14, 2023

Wendy was born in 1947 in England, when sugar was still rationed. At that time, sweets and chocolate were rare treats - they ate them every six months or so.

Wendy shares her memories of growing up on a smallholding where her parents and grandparents grew their own food. They ate three meals a day and worked hard outdoors. Wendy brought up her daughter with all kinds of foods available on the table.

Today, Wendy's grandchildren's reality is very different.

In her 50s, Wendy had some serious health issues that left her crippled and bedridden. Through the power of gratitude, positive affirmations, and mirror work, and a diet that reduced her inflammation, Wendy was able to make her dream come true of running on the beach and living a long and healthy life.

Today, Wendy is 75 and full of vitality. As a member of the After Sugar Club, she's still taking care of her health and making small tweaks to feel her best.
