"Fermented foods changed my health and my life!": Donna

Donna Schwenk first discovered the power of fermented foods when she was 41. She had just given birth to her third child prematurely, and in this episode she tells her story of how cultured (fermented) foods changed her life!
Donna tells how her body was shutting down. She had several health issues, including high blood pressure and gestational diabetes that came back as T2 diabetes several months later.
She wanted to be healthy and be there to see her daughter grow up.
One day she came across information about kefir. She started making it and she would give her daughter a teaspoon of it every day. In a short time, all her daughter's preemie health issues went away.
Donna was also drinking kefir, and she started feeling so much better! So she started researching it and understanding the trillions of bacteria that live inside us... and sharing what she learned!
